I don't agree that opinion. If you just learn Math ,Literature and English ,you just good at 3 of these. You have to learn another subject to know about  what happen to the world. You learn Geography to know geographical location , this  subject can help you capture the place easily . You learn technology to know how to fix electricity. So you have to learn all subjects because it can help you in your life and your job in the future 

I agree with this opion. Because if students study too many subjects, they will not be able to complete the study but also make them feel more tired and bored with learning.  Instead they will find comfortable places to play that can lead them into social evils.  If they study math and literature, then they feel comfortable because they are offloaded and they will have the determination to learn
